– In the plan of reopening the provincial post-COVID-19 tourism activities, the sector raised and implemented lots of synchronous solutions, with the target of recovering, developing tourism, simultaneously avoiding being negligent in the task of preventing-combating the pandemic. Among the solutions, we particularly attach significant attention to the task of advertising, promoting: applying IT, informing on the media on the relaunching of tourism sector on websites and social media, information channels of the province. Taking part in the program of linking for developing tourism with the domestic cities, provinces and the major events for advertising tourism in the cities, provinces: tourism of the 6 provinces in Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Kon Tum; Quang Ngai; taking part in the international Vietnam-VITM Ha Noi 2022 tourism fair; the tourism days in HCMC in 2022.

It can be asserted that the tourism sector in Phu Yen has gained lots of positive results from these events. Through this, the enterprises in the province have got access and introduced Phu Yen province’s particular products, services; the travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, resorts have also advertised their new tourism products and services; finding partners, singing trading contracts, establishing the relationships with partners. Particularly, the program of introducing the intangible cultural heritage of the art of Bai Choi and displaying oceanic tuna of Phu Yen

attracted the attention of both tourists and enterprises from the localities. This is a great occasion for Phu Yen tourism sector to introduce to tourists the culture, cuisine and tourism products to be ready for the effervescent summer tourism season in 2022.

* What are the current trends among tourists and what advantages does Phu Yen tourism sector possess in these trends?

– These days, tourists tend to care more about the green and safe tours. Tourists put the top priority to choosing the destinations, green, clean, environment-friendly tourism products, collectively converging lots of diversified public services, accommodation services using energy-efficient devices or take measures on minimizing garbage and waste…Due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, the domestic tourism demand is surging higher in the year 2022. Self-organized tours seem to increase with the expectations to experience more, adventure more. Tourists also want to avoid crowded places but instead find places with few people, meeting the individual interests and hobbies.

In this trend, Phu Yen tourism does possess quite many advantages. i.e Phu Yen has a long coastal line of 189km, creating intact swimming places, so picturesque and romantic with mountains and white smooth sandy beaches. Phu Yen province also has lots of along-the-shore islets, with sub-coral reefs with the area of over 400ha… In the west, there are imposing mountains, Van Hoa highlands with mild climate, hot water streams like Phu Sen, Triem Duc with the average temperature from 50 to 70 degree C, very suitable for the eco-tourism forms in combination with curing illnesses… In comparison with the adjacent localities, the natural landscape of Phu Yen remains intact with not much intervention from human beings. Besides, the culture and cuisine of Phu Yen province also possess its own particular and unique features; Phu Yen inhabitants are gentle and hospitable. With the current potentials, this is one advantage for Phu Yen to attract tourists.
