As the hometown of the ocean tuna fishing in Vietnam, also a locality known as the lobster’s capital, Phu Yen organized for the first time to set two culinary records: 101 dishes from ocean tuna, 100 dishes from Song Cau lobster were recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization (VietKings) as a Vietnamese record. This has an important meaning in the journey of introducing, promoting and developing tourism in Phu Yen, a land endowed by nature with many scenic spots and cultural depth.
Previously, ocean tuna and lobster were two aquatic species that brought high economic value thanks to their export to international markets, such as: Europe, America, Japan, ASEAN countries… Now, these two quintessential sea products are also attached to the mission of a special ambassador of the tourism sector through culinary. Dishes from ocean tuna and Song Cau lobster, through hands of chefs, are sublimated into works of art, contributing to enrich the cultural treasures of Phu Yen cuisine in particular and Vietnam in general.
