Food festival was an activity that many people was interested in at the 11th Phu Yen Ethnic Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival in 2022. The teams had invested in elaborate preparation, taken care to raise the level of dishes. Tourists was very satisfied with the typical local dishes. One of the success points of this year’s food festival is that most of the localities invited representative restaurants in the area to participate.
Each team chose the ingredients and products of the land to create unique and flavorful dishes when processing. Also common ingredients such as beef, cassava leaf, “nut” plant, “xiem” chili…, but chefs of Song Hinh district team, Son Hoa district team had their own way of processing, eating is remembering. Or garden chicken cooked with green papaya of Tuy Hoa city team also created a new and delicious feeling. Popular ditch fishes in Ngan Son river were skillfully grilled by chefs of Tuy An district team with embers that were just ripe, golden and fragrant at the right level, rolled rice paper, raw vegetables, dipped fish sauce in the craft village… it was delicious to remember.
Of the three A prizes at this year’s food festival, two prizes belonged to the lobster and crab brands of Song Cau town team and Dong Hoa town team. The remaining A prize belonged to the chefs of Tay Hoa district team with local dishes: Steamed eel with gourd, mallard duck with traditional medicine, stewed H’Mong chicken with lotus. In particular, lotus ingredients are present in main dishes, desserts to table decorations. Dishes processed by Lang Sen restaurant’s chefs in Tay Hoa district created a unique feature of idyllic countryside dishes and the pure harmony of lotus species has raised the culinary culture…
