COVID-19 pandemic has caused difficulties to all economic sectors, including tourism, which is directly and seriously influenced, with hardship faces when it comes to recovery. However, those working in this sector have to find all ways to strive, make efforts with various and diversified solutions to advertise, stimulate demands for this significant economic sector.

Domestic tourism enterprises come to Phu Yen during the trip for promoting, advertising, stimulating tourism demands to the central-highlands provinces at the beginning of the year |
Mr Ho Van Tien, chairman of Phu Yen tourism association, lets known that Vietnam VITM Ha Noi 2020 international tourism trade fair I held from November 18th to November 21st, 2020 at Ha Noi Cultural friendship center. Previously, the similar trade fair for tourism sector with the theme “heritage-the source for Vietnam tourism” was due to take from April 1st to April 4th, before deciding on a later days of August 12th-15th with a changed theme of “Vietnam tourism heading towards the future”. Up to this time, to make it compatible with the new trend and situation, VITM’s theme is now “shifting digital sector for promoting tourism’s development”.
According to Mr Vu The Binh, Standing vice chairman of Vietnam tourism association, head of the organizing board for VITM 2020, VITM is the national tourism event, a forum to connect trade, creating opportunities for the localities and tourism enterprises to advertise their brand names, introduce their products, also, this is the venue for promoting trade relationship, linking for development of tourism products. “The trade fair this year is more special, besides creating opportunities for meeting between sellers and buyers, the event is also the practical forum for implementing the tasks of overcoming the aftermaths caused by COVID-19 pandemic. In the program, the organizing board is going to approve the program of stimulating domestic tourism demands; a conference on the theme “shifting to digital sector to promote tourism development”, aimed at analyzing, finding out ways to accelerate digitalizing, applying technology to radically change the management and operation, organizing the trading activities of tourism enterprises”, Mr. Binh lets known.
Mr Cao Hong Nguyen, head of the division of tourism management (Phu Yen Department of Culture-sports-tourism), lets known, applying “safe Vietnam tourism” accumulates all functions and features to meet the tourists’ demands, the units supplying services that have registered for safe standards with state management offices according to the forms of :hotels, restaurants, tourism households, entertainment areas, transportation services, hospitals, pharmacies…”All of the tourism information of the nationwide provinces has been updated. This application is both useful and compatible with the current trends. As for Phu Yen, smart tourism is one of the issues raised by the province’s tourism sectors and smart portals, webgis tourism is being currently completed to serve tourists”, Mr Nguyen lets known.
Lots of enterprises have boldly invested in digital shifting as well as drastically applying IT to bring about information and services for customers living far away”. Currently, tourists can book tours and experience a perfect trip with a smart phone, without directly interacting with the staff of the tourism agency”, Mr Dam Dai Huu, Director of Dai Huu tourism company, shares.
According to Mr Nguyen Trung Tin, vice director of Phu Yen Center for information and tourism promotion (department of culture-sports-tourism), VITM this time is the occasion for the center to implement the tasks of enhancing tourism advertising for Phu Yen tourism in general; with the direct involvement of nearly 10 enterprises who directly introduce their products and find opportunities for trading, linking for the last months of the year as well as being well-prepared for the new year of 2021.
