Phu Yen provice Base in the American Resistance War is located in the area of 3 communes of Son Long, Son Dinh, Son Xuan of Son Hoa district, about 45 km away from Tuy Hoa city to the West-North. This place was closely linked to the construction and development of resistance war forces and resistance war leading agencies of the province from 1962 to 1975 which is recognized as a National Historical Relic on 22/8/2008.
At early 9/1969, when the President Ho Chi Minh passed away, Phu Yen province Committe of the Party selected the area at Doc Da, Phuoc Hoa hamlet (now known as Hoa Binh hamlet), Son Dinh commune to construct the Temple and organize the memorical service on 9/9/1969. Uncle Ho Temple was constructed by forest trees with cottage roof; in 2003, the temple was re-constructed and upgraded.
The Base Relic is clsely linked with uncle Ho Temple and Van Hoa highland at the average altitude of 400 m comparing to the sea water lever with cool climate all year round… which are favocrable conditions for developing ecological tourism types linking with cultural and historical visit and researches.
