The Culinary Festival has been recently organized in Da Lat city (Lam Dong province) by Lam Dong Tourism Association and related units and set a record for making 100 dishes using vegetables and flowers in the city.

Pan-fried tuna with sour sauce and Da Lat vegetable salad of the chef from Pho Dem restaurant

There are 100 chefs from tourism associations of 6 provinces and cities participating in the festival. In particular, Phu Yen Tourism Association has the professional Chefs’ Association and 3 chefs from Kaya hotel, PYTOPIA convention center and Pho Dem restaurant (Tuy Hoa city).

At the festival, Phu Yen chefs performed 3 dishes from tuna fish – a typical seafood of Phu Yen, combined with Da Lat vegetables and fruits such as artichokes, strawberries, avocado, lettuce and other vegetables…, making unique dishes. In which, the chef from Kaya hotel cooked tuna eye with artichoke flower; the chef from PYTOPIA convention center cooked tuna fish with Quan De wine and vegetables and fruits in Da Lat; the chef from Pho Dem restaurant cooked pan-friedtuna fish with sour sauce and Da Lat vegetable salad.

This is an activity to promote tourism through cuisine and an opportunity for professional chefs to meet, exchange and learn experiences from each other.
