After the Vietnamese Communist Party was established (03/2/1930), some patriotic intellectual in Phu Yen tried to contact with the Communist Party Organization to organize the struggles.
On 05/10/1930, at home of Comrade Phan Luu Thanh in Dong Be village, Phuoc Long hamlet, Xuan Long commune (now known as Long Binh quarter, La Hai township, Dong Xuan district), the Party Member Conference was help to announce the establishment of the first Communist Party branch in Phu Yen province including 8 members and Comrade Phan Luu Thanh was elected as the first Secretary. Unit 01/1931, the Phu Yen Province Committee of Party was established.
On 18/6/1997, the establishment place of the firts Communist Party Branch in Phu Yen provice was recognized as the National Historical Relic.
