Xuan Dai Bay is about 45 km away from Tuy Hoa city to the North. National Highway No. 1 runs along the west bank of Xuan Dai bay. The visitors can easily see a corner of Xuan Dai bay when going to the South or the North when arriving Gang Slope peak. Ships can enter from Bay gate and leave the bay from Dan Phuoc port, Tien Chau port, Nhat Tu Son port… to visit the whole bay.
Xuan Dai bay has an area of approximate 13,000 ha of water surface. The bay has the width of approximate 4.4 km and the depth of from 7 m to 18 m; the length of approximate 50 km running through many different places with interesting names such as: Den reef, Da Ong cape, Do reef, Vung Lam, Vung Mam, Vung Dong, Vung Su, Vung Chao, Vung Me, Vung La, Om beach, Tu Nham beach, Mui Dong Tranh, Ganh Tuong cape, Mom island, Tai Ma cape, Ba reef, Cu Lao Ong Xa island, Nhat Tu Son island, Con Ca Lagoon…
The East-South side of the bay is Da Dia reef, Lao Mai Nha island; the North is Tu Nham sand-bank, Tu Nham beach, Cu Mong Lagoon, Vung Vuong, Bai Tram, Bai Nom… and there are many kinds of corals and seaweed.
The scenery of sky, cloud, mountain and water in Xuan Dai and famous special foods such as Nhay nail, sweet nails, shrimps, crabs, swimming crabs… had made many poets and visitors drunken.
Xuan Dai bay witnessed many historical events: Such as the water battlefield between Tay Son troops of Nguyen dynasty in 1775 – 1801. In the world war II, navy ships of Nikado troops were shot to sink at the middle of Xuan Dai bay by Dong Minh airplane. Vung Lam was the busiest commercial port of Phu Yen in the past where were the border gate for trade exchange between Phu Yen and other provinces…
Near Xuan Dai bay, there are other famous beauty spots such as: Da Dia reef, O Loan Lagoon, Cu Mong Lagoon… where are ideal places for organizing sports, mountain climbing, sea diving, boat-racing, surfing and ocean discovery…
