Phu Yen has a quite convenient traffic system with roads, railways, airlines and waterways. Tuy Hoa city is the center of the province which is 1,160 km away from Hanoi Capital, 400 km away from Da Nang city, 120 km away from Nha Trang city and 560 km away from Ho Chi Minh city following National Highway No. 1. The visitors can arrive Phu Yen through different means of transportation such as: Coaches, trains, airplane or ship.
National Highway No. 1 runs through Phu Yen following North – South axis with the length of 117. 5 km, National Highway No. 1D runs along beach connecting Song Cau town with Quy Nhon city, National Highway No. 25 and National Highway No. 29 runs through East-West axis connecting Phu Yen with other Highland Central provinces and then connect with Asian Highway through countries in Indochina Peninsula. Trans-Vietnam Railway runs following North-South and stops at Phu Yen at Tuy Hoa city railway station (km 1,197).
It takes less than 4 hours by car, visitors from the Central Highlands provinces can reach Tuy Hoa town. Only one night in a luxury car or train, visitors from Ho Chi Minh City can play volleyball on Tuy Hoa Beach.
Phu Yen has a spacious and modern airport of Tuy Hoa which is about 7 km away from the center of Tuy Hoa City to the South and there are daily flights from Tuy Hoa – Ho Chi Minh City, Tuy Hoa – Hanoi and vice versa. Currently, there are three airlines operating this route: Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet and Jetstar. Phu Yen province and related parties are promoting the upgrade of air routes and airports that cannot afford international flights.
Phu Yen has many lagoons and bays that are very convenient for ships to enter and leave; especially, there is a deep-water port in Vung Ro bay with the ability to receive ships with a tonnage of over 5,000 tons, currently a large-scale commercial port is under construction.
The system of means of transportation is various with inter-provincial and inner province coach stations and big number of coaches, tourist cars, high quality coaches, taxi, buses which are ready to meet traveling demand of the visitors.
